I have an alarm system with ADT. We have a motion detector, and my dad is saying that it will pick up on dogs (we're planning on getting a dog soon), and go off. Questions: Would there be anyway I can get a motion detector that won't pick up on animals and go off? Or should I just keep my dog in a room while we aren't at home? Do you have a dog (or any other animal)? What do you do with having a motion detector in your house when you aren't at home? Any suggestions?I don't feel right leaving my dog outside (especially for long periods of time). Thanks in advance.
