Question:

Wobbley front tire on motorcycle ?

My front tires starting to feel Wobbley when I ride straight like I can feel it(Ive ony been riding for 4 week and just noticed it couple days ago) does this mean it‘s a bad tire or something else? . I gripped the the tire with my knees and pushed the handle bars opposite ways to see if the tire was lose but it seemed fine. the guy I bought it from said the front tire has some wear on it and should be replaced soon. Gonna get a new tire in a couple of weeks but I just wanna know if that‘s a sign of a bad tire or something else.I‘m total newb on motorcycles and still learning so please have mercy on me gt;.lt;

Answer:

I had a similar issue with my Vulcan 800, the tire looked okay and spun straight but it felt wobbly. I didn't feel safe riding like that obviously, so when I took it I found out I had a totally destroyed wheel bearing. Luckily I didn't have a wreck, so I wouldn't reccomend riding it until you have it checked out
Uh no.what your tire is telling you is that the last guy rode it already for that 'couple of weeks' it should have been changed already since it's totally unsafe. You have a major safety issue and your bike should not be run at all until you have the tire and rim checked out. If you have spokes some of them may be loose. If not you have a bad tire. Hope this helps.
It could be a worn tire, a defect in the tire (flat spot from sitting or weak sidewall), too low of air pressure, an out of balance wheel, worn wheel bearings, the axle missing/custom spacers or not properly installed, or bent forks. In order of easiest to hardest for you to check.
