Fittings are any parts / devices in a piping line that can connect two or more sections of piping, such as elbows and valves.
Check with your local fabric store for reflective coated material. It is usually in with the interfacing and used mostly for making ironing board covers and oven mitts. The reflective coating will help reflect the cold as well as it does heat. Use the material to cover the insulation you decide to use. It is easy to sew. You might want to install a size 90 (14) or 100 (16) needle in your sewing machine. Or you could use Tacky fabric glue, too. You could make a divider in the middle, so you could put heated stuff on one side and cold stuff on the other side. Have fun creating your 'uniquely yours' picnic basket.
