personal preferenceif your not comfortable with it, don'tbut here's what i do on the rare occassions i've had to leave for weekendsi go to the store and get disposable aluminum baking pansusually 3 to a packput litter in all of them and line them all upget the LARGEST plastic or glass bowls in the house and fill 2 with dry food and 2 with waterleave the tv on (appropriate programming of courselike the disney channel)and notify a neighbor or friend and ask them to come by once a daycats are way more independant and self-reliant than dogsand boarding in a kennel where there's a bunch of dogs barking and your cat is stuck in a cage, will not for a happy cat makei know my cats wouldn't enjoy it and the stress it would cause i can't even imagine.
