Also my brake pad are good and i went to good years a few week ago and they told me my rotor need to get done , does that have something to do with it also? Also could explain to me what is abs and how much it cost to get done ?

Answer:

you have sensors behind the wheels and you might have a plug-in loose or corroded. a bad wheel bearing can cause it too.
ABS= anti locking brake system is a controlling device within the brake system. In a panic situation you stab the brakes as hard as you can and in a non ABS vehicle the brakes lock up and you skid to a stop. With ABS the computer takes over and pulses the brakes extremely fast and you the driver will get a shuddering sensation which is normal. This then prevents skidding and shortens the stoping distance and gives you control to steer away from trouble. There are sensors at each wheel called wheel speed sensors. They give wheel speed to the computer. If both front wheels and the left rear show 45 mph and the right rear shows zero, the computer interprets this as a malfunction. This is a malfunction because the brakes are not being applied. If the brakes were being applied the ABS would pulsate the zero mph wheel to release the brakes and prevent skidding. This is done with the use of the ABS pump controlled by the EBCM= electronic brake control module. Costs for repair of the ABS system vary according to just what has malfunctioned. There is usually a check ABS light on and when read with a scanner it will reveal the general cause of the problem. Hope this helps
Also if your car has a bad "Disc Brake Rotor" your brakes are in jeopardy and should be replaced/repaired ASAP... good luck.
ABS is Anti-Lock Braking System. It is not the brake pads. It is a system that monitors if you are in a skid situation and then automotically pumps the brakes for you. You could have a sensor that is bad. You need to bring it to Advance Auto Parts and have them read the codes for free. Once you have the codes it will tell you what sensor or component cause the light to come on. If it is a speed sensor then it is fairly cheap. If it is the control module or Hydrolic COntrol Unit it is VERY expensive and if it was my car I would not fix it. Go have the code read and post the code here.
