just got a 2007 CPO c230 in September. I noticed that the brake disks are different between front and rear.My rear brake disks have no holes on them and the surfaces are absolutely flat.My front brake disks have patterned holes on them and the surfaces are not flat at all. I believe they are grooves. My question is that is it normal to have grooves on the front brake disks for 2007 c230?
If your C230 is a sport model, then having cross-drilled holes in them is standard from the factory. However, having grooves (they're called 'slotted' actually) is not factory standard. Those are aftermarket brake rotors.
