this is a good question,,, maybe the big bang theoroy was the most powerful act of nature and nothing else will ever compare with that.it is and will always be a mystery that man kind will never be able to fully concept. also in outer space,, there is no air,, and no air means no friction,,and no friction means less drag and yes as i say,,this will always remain a mystery among all of us.
a whippy tip will set the hook in smaller fish without pulling the hook through the fishes mouth where as the harder tip will. also the whippy tip is better for bite indication from smaller fish if you use it for ledgering and a stiffer tip will throw out a bigger bait if spinning or feeder fishing hope this helps
