I just noticed my ABS INOP light and my Brake light coming on with my 97 Pontiac Firebird. I‘ve noticed that I can turn my car off, pump my brakes once or twice, turn the car back on the lights go off. Any suggestion? I know nothing about cars so brake fluid possibly? I need help
can you hear the washer motor when you push on the button ? it could be the washer motor , the button or the hoses and those little jets up by the wipers are clogged up !
No doubt you need a windshield pump (very inexpensive) if none of the rubber hoses are not disconnected.

The first thing you should would be to check the brakefliud in the master cyl. if its low add fluid and have the friction material checked and all hoses and wheel cyls and the master.If it got low enough for the lite to go on, you may need to have the brake system bled. Your antilock system and brake system are all tied together and the warning lites are telling you that something in the system is wrong
Brake light means, low fluid or brakes need to be replaced it sounds like you have Air in the brake system and it needsa to be bleed, also sounds like the brake needs to be drained, flushed and new fluid added. When mechanic is under have them check to see if the ABS Valve is working. NOTE: Good Shop You Can Trust!
