Im building a over sized tredmil thats 8 feet wide and 8 feet long. to drive the belt my idea is to have a motor directly attached to the shaft of the front roller. The motor from my research needs to be around 5 to 10hp with variable speeds and needs to be an ac motor. do you guys now of a motor that fits these standards? Also do you guys now of a speed reducer that could go between the motor and shaft to reduce the speed of the tredmill to 0 to 35 mph?
