The Additive Inverse of a number is the number which, when added to the original, sums to 0. In essence, this is the same as placing a negative sign in front of a positive number or removing it from a negative: the inverse of 75 is -75, since 75 + -75 0 the inverse of -12 is 12, since -12 + 12 0 etc.
