Hello, The name of the character really reflects the kind of personality that the character has, and the plot of the book, or the feeling of the book. By the names you've given here, I think I can assume that you'd like this book to be fancyish type, solemn type, and the character has a calm, smooth personality. Here's what I think: Scarlett is too sexy Lexia isn't fancy enough Tori is too boyish Elaina isn't used enough That leaves Violetta, Jolie and Rosie. I would choose: Rosie for a kid 3-8 years of age Jolie for a kid 9-14 years of age Violetta for an older character (14+) For the middle names: I would choose one middle name, unless the long name is something of a use in the book. My choices would be: Gabriella, or Caroline. It fits with the three names above, unless you chose Rosie, in which case fits niceley with Clara. Last names should be simple to remember but one that reflects the lifestyle of the family. Here's what I think of a few: Deschanel is to complicated and can be pronounced many different ways Silo would be good for a farmer or a country-side liver Stripe is too much like an object, but Strype might fit Noel means Christmas, and would fit in the winter season or a jolly family. Other than that, it's to much like a real word. I think that if the setting is in the Americas, Johnson would be great. Any Biritish areas or a very fancy type book would use Swan.
