I bought my daughter an old beauty salon chair for her room and would like to recover it in a funky fabric to match her room. I need some simple how-tos to get the job done. Any ideas would be very much appreciated since I've never recovered anything before.
Depends on how good your sewing skills are. Take the chair completely apart. Carefully remove the upholstery from each piece of chair to make a pattern for the new fabric. Make the piping, and baste it to one piece. Sew all the fabric pieces together and place each complete section back onto the section of the chair it came from. Staple it to the frame. Mark the screw holes so you'll know where they are. Re-assemble the chair. This is a simple as a simple job gets.
