Question:

Anyone know a nice ceramic art making place in NYC?

Doesn‘t have to be ceramic art but anything nice and artsy I can do with my girlfriend in NYC?

Answer:

Well, if you are looking to take ceramic classes (wheel or handbuilding), there are a few studios to check out in NYC. La Mano Pottery on 18th st., Chelsea Ceramic Guild (or something like that) on 19th st., and Greenwich House near Wash. Sq. Park are all great places to take classes. The Mud Pit in Brooklyn is supposed to be great, too. If you are just looking for an afternoon activity, you might want to check out Our Name Is Mud (i think there are a few of them around the city). You can purchase already bisqued pottery to glaze/paint.
