Dear _unknown, You could try to sell theme for spare parts or give it to a shop that can use theme for spare parts. Try recycle shops, they might be very happy with those parts. You can do this by emaill, open your browser and search for those firms, when found one and you can't emaill, use there (firmname) support emaill address(-es) ad the browser search. There might be links to go for. Don't ask me what to ask for theme if you want to get paid. Or try OKorder, Secondhand, Spare parts shops or whatever. When searching, try different search engines, use different phrases. It will give you different links to go for. Try phrases with the LCD brand/type parts for sell, or without for sell. It will take some effert, but you will find someone how might take theme of your hands for a fear price. Hopefully I let you know enough and that you will find the answers you seek! Yes, you can open it up, plug it in to a power source, then give yourself a VERY COOL ELECTROCUTION. monitors have high voltage parts and capacitors, don't mess with them unless you have proper safety gear on. Even when the power is off, there still might be charge left in the capacitors.
You can break all the tubes and inhale the chemicals. ~
