Question:

Bent axle on 02 Mazda Protoge by hitting a curb.?

Yeah it pretty much sucks ***. The front right axle is bent i think. I have to turn the steering wheel like 25% to the right just to make the car to forward. If the Axle is bent, how much do you think will cols to get a new one? And how long? Because it‘s my dads car and he is on vacation. And don‘t ask me what I was doing. It has something to do with pulling the E brake.

Answer:

Possible Damage: bent axle/core charge, bent wheel/tire damage, bent tie rods /rackpinion damage, bent strut, bent control arm, bent knuckle, hub/bearing damage, sub frame damage, Alignment !!!!!!!!!! Depending on how much damage you did estimate between $500. to $2,500. in repairs. Take it to a good front end shop to be looked at and PLEASE stop drifting in your Dad's car!!!!!
That made me laugh. Now I'll make you cry. I don't think the front axle is bent, I think a bunch of steering components are damaged if not the frame itself. The fact you can move at all indicates the axle is still in one piece (a cv joint will come apart before the axle is bent that much) The next time you try to park a car spinning it with the e-brake, remember, cars are designed to go forward and backward, not sideways.
if the axle was bent, it will vibrate severly instead of just pulling. sounds like you have a bent tierod instead. not a expensive problem but you will also need a alignment
