I am a new rider looking for my first full face helmet. I am a girl, so no skull and bones please. I am looking for one that is light wieght, with EPS and a sunshade would be great but not neccesary. Oh and excellent vents, but can be closed for winter. Can anyone tell me what model or even brand to look into? Thanks!!
My first suggestion is that you check the definition of traction devices from the originator of the requirement. In some states 4WD is considered traction assistance. Cables, chains and studded tires are considered traction devices. So is ETC in some of the newer cars. Bridgestone Blizzak and Michelin X-Ice xi2 dedicated snow tires are designed to be studless and are probably the best available in the market today. What you must acknowledge: Four-wheel drive does NOT mean four-wheel steer or four-wheel stopespecially on ice. Physics will win every time.
snow and ice, and low profile do not work well together, studded snow tires are getting more and more difficult to find every year. Many states have outlawed them because the studs do severe road damage in the millions of dollars. Several states have a studdless snow tire, it is a special compound that grips better the colder it is, it does however have limits, the temperature has to remain below a certain temperature, and these tires are not good on long trips, as the tread can almost melt off the warmer the ambient temperature gets. You may have to find a stock beater 4x4 if you need traction in snow.
it can work , but dont forget to put inserts ?(a little thingy to put in ends of pipe to make it strong0
Check for a winter tire and wheel package to fit your car they send them to you already mounted to the rims. All you have to do is bolt them on.
