I just got my braces four days ago and I've noticed that now my upper teeth don't meet my lower teeth AT ALL comfortably. and it's because when I close my mouth one of my upper teeth hits a bracket and it throws the whole thing off. Now, I'm still getting used to the pain, and I've just started eating more solid foods again and I've noticed that it makes it hard to chew and the tooth will occasionally hit the bracket and it HURTS.So, I'm wondering if it hurts so much because I'm still getting used to it?Will I stop biting down on it when my teeth shift more, or should I go back to the ortho to have them move the bracket down a little more? The bracket that I keep hitting is on a tooth that's kinda at an angle it's like at an L to the rest of my teeth so I know it should moveSo maybe I should wait a couple months?
dont worry it will get better after it stops hurting to chew
yes maybe a month. Mine was like that too.
I had this same problem and I acctually even called up the ortho and told them they put them on wrong,, because I couldnt close my mouth. Ha Ha,, didn't know the bracket were right and my teeth were wrong!! In about three weeks they moved enough i could bite together, it was just really annoying.
