Does anyone who own a 2007 toyota yaris hatchback feel a small vibration as the brake pedal is pressed down while driving to slow down, like if there is something loose? I have nevel felt that in other cars so I am wondering if that is normal or I need to take it to get checked.
I would have to actually feel that vibration to tell you if it is normal. The ABS COULD be causing it, but if it is on a consistent basis, there is fault in the system. If the car vibrates, it could be a warped rotor, or something like that. If just the pedal vibrates, it could be a booster problem. Either way, the car is under warranty and you should take it to the dealer to find the issue. They have seen more of these cars than anyone else. BTW, I haven't seen any issue sounding like that on any of the Yarises coming through my shop.
Contact the manufacturer of her wheel chair - they will know.
Have you ever driven a late model car before this? If you haven't its probably the abs pulsating though the brake pedal, making sure you dont lockup your wheels under hard braking. If you know what I'm talking about and that isn't it, then maybe you should either take it to a trusty mechanic or dealer or listen to someone else's more technical response. Good luck!
