Question:

Buying a new snowboard, old DC Mega vs. new?

So I am buying a new snowboard soon and I'm an intermediate-expert level rider, I'm 16 years old, mostly park-oriented. I am currently riding the Burton Blunt at a 156 and its not a comfortable board for me. There is no camber, the speed is awful and it's not very buttery in my opinion. So I've been looking in to stiffer camber boards and the DC mega looks sick, I'm for the most part locked on that particular model but It's very expensive ($449.95). So I looked in to earlier year models and they go as low as $259.99 for essentially the same board but two years earlier down the line. I'm a little frozen because I'm not sure If I should pay nearly $200 if all that has changed is the graphics. So I was wondering, has anything with the core changed? Are the graphics on the board the only difference? (Price isn't a major issue), Should I pay the extra $140 for the 2014?

Answer:

I'm playing Schaub, but only cause McNabb is on a bye. Hard to sit Cutler, but this would be the week to do it
the main reason there would (and will) be damage is condensation inside the empty pipes especially if you are on a well and don't have any kind of back flow prevention in line. If however this system has some type of check valve (backflow preventer) the damage MAYbe minimal
Yes, who cares what someone's job is, as long as it's not prostitution.
