Can humans preform successful nuclear fusion?
Yes but unfortunately, we have not succeeded in safely harnessing this energy to the benefit of mankind. The hydrogen bomb is an example of the successful attempt at performing nuclear fusion.
Yes we can, and have. However, we have only recently managed it to the point that we get more energy out than when what we put in.
