I'm sorry to hear about your BF's condition, BUT NO you don't have a law suit, nor can you collect unemployment. Unemployment is ONLY for those laid-off NOT for those terminated-for-cause. YOU MIGHT have been in a better situation legally had you been married there are laws that provide some protections for worker caring for a spouse. Simply put, if YOU can't work the simple schedule at a McDonald's, they have every right to fire you.
