I just got a new laptop and I want to move some old files from my old laptop to it. Can I use an ethernet cable to connect the two and move the files?
Connect both the laptops with ethernet cable and put the Hard disk drives of your old laptop in sharing mode and start sharing.
i thinks so. ihave never tried it tho. you could just put the files on a usb and then transfer them
hi, Step 1 Connect both laptop with Ethernet cable give same network IP like OLD laptop 10.0.0.1 and another NEW laptop 10.0.0.2 Step 2 copy all folder and file in a Single folder and share this folder. STEP 3 Now in your New laptop go to the Run command and Type \10.0.0.1 Now computer ask user name and password give it,then it show your share folder now you can copy your files and folder on new laptop
