I have an e46 BMW 3 series that makes a very loud creaking noise when reversing (as the rear of the car lifts) and also squeaks when engaging and releasing the clutch whilst accelerating, could these both be linked? It sounds as if it is coming from the rear slightly offside but not enough to be the brake, possibly control arm? Any help or ideas appreciated :)
