Hi everyone. I have a problem with my carpets. I recently bought a very nice, thin carpet. It is very detailed, thus it doesn't stay quot;flatquot;. It likes to move around and bulge. I have placed this carpet on another thick carpet. Now I need ideas to keep or stick my thin carpet on top of the thick one without damaging both of them. I dont want to glue or nail stuff done. Something quick and simple. Thanks everyone.
Herrman is the only one to get it right so far.. This are special and very thin mats that allow a rug over carpet ( or carpet over carpet). But you must get one just for this because it also comes for rugs over hard wood and rugs over a hard surface.Do NOT get the shelf liner material type this won t work properly. They come as a netting type material or a felt looking material. They grip and protect the rug from sliding and bunching up..They will collect dirt and dust naturally and all you have to do is toss in the washer on a gentle cycle and the tackiness comes back. This tackiness leaves no residue and will not harm the bottom carpet. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar. GL
It likes to move around and bulge What you need is a carpet/rug non-slip gripper pad. You can find these in most department stores and Home Depot and Lowe's. It is a netting material you lay down under the rug. It will stop the rug from slipping. It comes in different sizes that can be trimmed to fit.
there is double-stick tape made just for that; Home Depot, Lowes, builders Square, etc.
I don't quite get what detailed and moving around have to do with each other, but I would try the puffy shelf liners they have out now. try walmart or target.
Well as to not to damage the one underneath I would say sew the corners or use carpet tape, The only thing is the tacky residue from the tapes. Try laying the shelf liner stuff
