Question:

changed flat tire with spare, now what?

i got a flat tire and road-side assistance switched out the flat one with the spare. it was a real tire spare not the donut kind. so should i keep driving on that spare, and buy a new tire to put in the trunk as a spare.or should i replace the spare with a new tire and put the spare back? Thanks

Answer:

different people ride different ways, some people downshift to slow down, some people just hold clutch and downshift later different riding styles, different purposes it'll become much much clearer after you try it.honestly
Yes, always pull in the clutch when braking.
The spare tire is only good to get you were you have to go for a tire change. That's what it's really for, so drive with the spare until you buy yourself a new or used tire. But, don't wait to long that spare will give up on you at any time. Note : Spare tires don't last very long, hitting a big pot hole can really be a scary situation. Hope I helped !!!! Joseph D :)
If the rim match. Then you can leave the spare on. If you have a tire that is wore more than the spare that was put on. Use that tire as the new spare. And replace the blow out tire. You want the best tires on the ground. Even if you hap to switch rims.
depends on the age of the tires and if the spare matches the other tires. If the car is newer, and the spare tire is the same as the others, its fine to just put a new tire on the flat and put it in the trunk. If the spare was older and worn, and the rest of the tires are newer, then put the new tire back on the road and the spare back in the trunk.
