I have a 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix with a 3.6l v6. I‘ve had it for about 14 months now, and these past few weeks my light‘s come on for the Check ABS System and Check Traction Control. The brakes seem fine, no grinding, no noises. I heard somewhere that that type of car is notorious for the check abs system glitch. Does anyone think they know what it is, or have had a similar problem? I don‘t want to get taken advantage of if I have to take this into a mechanic.
there was a Pimp my ride episode where this one guy got and engine sound emitter. It's a device that changes the sound the engine of any type of car, I think the guys car was a ford focus or something, and he made his engine sound like a Ferrari Enzo. find that episode and listen to what they say what its called
Brake pad wear will NOT set off the ABS light. Check your brake fluid level first. All four tires must be the same size and inflated to spec. Disconnect the battery, step on the brake, reconnect the battery if the light stays off, your gold. Most failures are wheel speed sensor(s). You may be able to get a free scanner diagnosis at Auto Zone etc. Ask your friends or AAA for the name of a shop you can trust. Look for ASE certification. Contrary to popular belief, most mechanics are honest, incompetence can be a problem.
YOU SHOULD GET THE VEHICLES COMPUTER SCANNED AND CHECK FOR ANY PROBLEMS AS WELL AS CODES AND THEN YOU WILL HAVE A GOOD IDEA ON WHAT THE PROBLEM TRULY IS. TRY FINDING AN INDEPENDENT SHOP INSTEAD OF THE DEALER OR A CHAIN STORE BECAUSE YOU WILL BE OVERALL MORE PLEASED WITH THE FINDINGS AND THE SERVICE. LEAVE IT THERE WITH THEM SO THAT THEY CAN FIND THE PROBLEM FOR YOU, IT WILL BE A LOT BETTER THAN JUST REPLACING PART AFTER PART AND NOT DOING ANY GOOD.
buy a flowmaster, makes the car sound real fast n mean lol
