Laptop : If you are a gamer obviously the laptops isn't the recommended to buy , because usually their screen are smallest than the computer monitor , and the mouse usually don't work so good , but at least who uses the laptop have more freedom to bring to work , travel etc . Computer : computer usually is recommended to gamers , they have more hard disk space , is better on comfort , the unic problem is that you can't bring a full pc in travels .
when you get a laptop you pay for more compact hardware so it can be carried around pc more bang for the buck you get more in a pc because the size is not really the main focus performances is pc is better for gaming video editing everything in general except mobility but if you build it yourself then you can make a ITX build which can be moved with ease but you still need a monitor and somewhere for to plug it in so laptops are better if you are going to want to take it everywhere but if it is staying at home then go for a desktop laptops can be used for gaming but not so well
Laptops are computers. The only disadvantages being they are generally less powerful than Desktops and are more difficult to upgrade. The advantages are potability and the inverse of the answers i have given.
Quite often you get a more strong computer for a computing device than a computing device of the same price. The downside is the mobility. If you wish to be ready to use it across the residence or at a buddies, then consider a computing device.
