I have two children and I am happily married of four years. I am looking for a form of birth control. So I settled for the IUD (intrauterine device). Now I have done my research and I have learned that there are two forms that I am learning toward; Copper and the Mirena. I understand the pros and cons of the matter. My gyn is leaving the choice completely up to me. So, has any one tried either one of these IUD’s? How does it affect your sex life?
I've learned all about IUD on a project recently. Honestly, it doesn't sound like a very appealing form of birth control. Why not just go on the pill? It's so simple and so less technical. But if your really insisting on IUD, I'd go with the copper.
I have a copper IUD and really, it was the best choice for me. I was on birth control pills for a few years before hand and hormones were not for me. My period was a little heavier and had a few more cramps for the first 4-6 months, but it has settled down to pre-IUD annoyances. Not having to worry about birth control for 10 years and not having to take something everyday/week/month is great.
i've got had the Mirena for a 365 days without element effects. observed for awhile yet have not had a era in any respect. no longer something such as you're dealing with with emotions, pimples etc, hate to hearken to that. I considered the copper iud before because of the fact I cherished the assumption of no hormones. My Dr. advised me that it does make the sessions heavier and the cramps greater intense. you in basic terms could weigh the experts and cons of each and every approach you're pondering & undergo in techniques that our bodies all react to distinctive techniques in distinctive techniques so perhaps it fairly is nicely worth a attempt. basically communicate to your ob/gyn and notice if she/he can provide a time-physique, say 3 greater months and if no substitute, then attempt the copper.
