Question:

could the anti lock Brake system lock up your gear shift?

I have a dodge charger R/t and the gear shift want move. when i get into the car i press down on the brakes and it still want move in to reverse. also the ABS light is on antilock brake system its been on for months now could that have locked up the gear shift? if so how do i get it fixed an if not what else could be wrong?

Answer:

find out why the light is on. It would probably be a bad brake switch.
Actually all he's asking is if its easier to drift in FWD or AWD. The answer is AWD. Although Awd isnt ideal for drifting its better than FWD. FWD is actually not ideal for drifting at all. Its not called drifting in a FWD its more of a power slide cuz the back end is dragging not pushing. AWD would be somewut better but not ideal.
the brakes should,nt have anything to do with the gear shift.
