I have an ipod nano 3g but the data cable is from a friends ipod touch and it doesn't seem to be working.Do different styles of ipod require different data cables?
yes they all use same cables i have a touch and i share my wire with my family who have different ipods. they have 3g nano, 2g nano, and 1g nano.
Radio Shack is more than likely your best bet.I'm pretty sure they sell the iPod chord there. The Radio Shack near me sells it.
Most previous generations of ipods don't share the same data cable. But on present generations, all ipods and iphones come up with a usb cable that's all capable of all ipods and iphone generations. You can buy them in retailed apple stores.
