No it's legal. To many of us Cops we don't mind being video taped, most of us have it in our patrol cars. If there not doing anything wrong then they shouldn't even care. I run my video all the time, believe it or not people lie all the time about what happened while they were contacted by Police video is just another way of eliminating some questions.
