Question:

Does covering a smoke detector with a plastic bag effectively hinder its detection?

Im in a dorm room and my roommate insists on burning incense. Im afraid it could set off the smoke detector

Answer:

Edit I will take a flying leap at this without access to my references until someone else does it better. You can determine the system coefficient (C) from the first set of data. 1250gpm C (86-57) ^-2 Solve for C Then solve for the second flow using the second pressure drop and C GPM C (86-20)^-2 Note ^-2 here is intended to mean square root
I don't know if it's normal but my 47 inch flat screen Vizio tv heats up my living room made crazy! in the summer it blows because outside it's 90 plus degrees and I have to keep the A/C cranked up to keep the house cooled, but in the winter it's cool because as long as I keep the tv on it heats up the house so there is no need for the heater! It doesn't sound normal that this is happening but this does happen to me. Currently Vizio is sending paying to repair my tv so who know's we both might have lemon tv's!!! LMFAO my A/C bills cost me more in the summer than my tv. Thanks 1080i!!!!!
