Answer:

No Spokey Dokey is wrong!!!!! A co-valenet bond is formed when a non-metal reacts with a non-metal.e.g 02 is a COVALENT COMPOUND.
when nonmetals react with each other, they form covalent bonds. a bond can be polar covalent if there's a slight difference in electronegativity or the distribution of the charge is not even. It will be nonpolar if there is no difference in electronegativity or there is an even distribution of charge. :)

This Site Might Help You. RE: Are covalent bonds formed with metals or nonmetals? When metals react with eachother, do they form covalent bonds? I know when a metal and nonmetal react, it is ionic. When is it polar/non-polar covalent?
non metal + non metal = covalent (sharing of bonds) metal + non-metal = ionic (giving away of electrons by one and receiving by the other) e.g of covalent = O2, CO2, Cl2 e.g of ionic = MgCl, NaCl, NaOH
