I need advice! I want to purchase a jogging stroller. I will use it mainly for walks and jogging. I don‘t know what is better for me?! A swivel wheel that locks into place or a fixed wheel.Any advice would be great. THANKS! :)
I'd recommend a swivel that locks into place which is what I have, it's great for maneuvering on walks and round shops
You don't have to choose fortunately. Most decent double jogging strollers will let the front wheel either swivel free or lockup. There's one, the Schwinn, that has a nifty little level up on the handle that lets you lock the front wheel in place while you are jogging. So if you are walking or jogging on the sidewalk/road at a steady pace, just let it swivel. But if you pick up speed and are going down a hill for example, then flip the lever and lock the wheel.
Recommend the swivel wheel, primarily for maneuverability. A fixed wheel is primarily used by pram strollers, not jogging strollers. You don't have to be a serious runner or jogger to have a Swivel Wheel Jogging Stroller. They can turn on a dime, allowing you to steer it with one hand. A fixed wheel would require 2 hands for you to steer it. The locking mechanism allows you to park it when you decide to take a break and enjoy the park.
