give you a significant increase on mpg. . have you or anyone you know tried these, and if so were the results good
So far none are proven to really work. Also consider the cost of the additives. Some cost $5-10 per tank and if it only saves you 10% or less, it's just not cost effective. Stick to things that are proven to work: change how you drive, combine trips/carpool, check tire pressure, tune up an older car regularly, etc
Well, if you read the fuel additives carefully and follow the instructions carefully and do everything they say, you will get an increase. But you would have got that increase without the additive.just do all the other steps. Cleaning your intake valveswhat does the engine know about clean(or dirty) intake valves? Nothing. It just runs. And in order to have that kind of build up you need to have been putting in low grade gasoline for 10 years with alot of idling and slow speed driving such as farm trucks on the farm to get that kind of build up. The engine still ran fine. Build up? Yeah.had to grind it off the valves. No gas would ever get it off in a couple of tankfuls. So additives are just a drain on the pocket book, but do help(instructionwize) if you drive as they dictate.
