Question:

Help please ceramics question?

Well I made this gorgeous plate fired it, painted it and glazed it, fired it again. It came out amazing great colors absolutely beautiful. Today my teacher wanted me to bring it in another room to see if it would fit on a plate holder. After that I bring it back into the other room and it dropped out of my hand. I feel so terrible (even right now typing this) I even cried. Well the pieces are big, medium, small. Is there a glue or a trick to fix this? A teacher told me to use a certain type of glaze to glue it then glaze it again and fire it. I am worried this won‘t work and will never be fixed and break in the kiln. Do you have any tips or any suggestions to fix this? Please give your opinions and what you know. Thanks

Answer:

I do understand as I do ceramics and I've had really pieces that I spend a lot of time on break, or not make it all the way through. You know what I say now? It's just dirt. If you made it once, you can do it again. You can try to fix it but personally, I think it's way more fun to make another one.
Its called acceleration and de-acceleration, I have never seen an engine brake on a bike. The different tone you are hearing is either tottle open or thottle closed.
