Do I need to put my wii games in a folder on my fat32 external hhd for the loader to recognize them?
I'm using USB Loader GX. wbfs folder should be on the root directory and NOT in capital letters. Then you can choose between two different layouts in settings. Layout 1: usb:/wbfs/TITLE[GAMEID]/GAMEID.wbfs Inside wbfs directory add a folder with the game title and then inside [ ] add the id. The wbfs file should be named after its game id. ex : /wbfs/Super Mario Galaxy [8FC124]/8FC124.wbfs Layout 2: usb:/wbfs/GAMEID_TITLE/GAMEID.wbfs Inside wbfs add a folder which starts with the game id then enter _ and then the title As before the wbfs file should be named after its game id. ex : /wbfs/8FC124_SuperMarioGalaxy/8FC124.wbf...
Games need to be stored at USB:WBFSGAMES The generally acceptable folder structure is... USB:WBFSGAME ID - GAME TITLEGAME ID.wbfs (or .wbf1, ect. for split images) But the minimally acceptable structure is... USB:WBFSGAME ID.wbfs (or .wbf1, ect. for split images) I will note that FAT32 HDD will require you to split your disc images that are 4 GB's or larger into smaller sub-4 GB chunks as FAT32 can't handle any file larger than 4 GB's. NTFS formatted drives (which are also supported) can support disc images larger than 4 GB's If you use the disc ripper utility built into USB Loader GX, the software will automatically default to the prefer folder structure when copying your game discs. Hope this helps!
