Answer:

speed bumps are work and make you liable. make some big *** potholes instead
You cannot just install a speed bump. Although you are citizens and taxpayers, you don't own the street in the sense that you can't do with it what you want. If you're willing to fund this, then you need to get together and get a permit to do so. Your city or county will need to examine the plans, approve them, and inspect the work. For example, speed bumps need to be built in a way as to not impede emergency (fire engines, ambulances) traffic.
It becomes a huge lightning rod!
I use a sunblock with a 70+ SPF. It works for me. I also ride without a helmet but I wear a pair of Performanceyewear sunglasses/goggles. They look like sunglasses but have a removable foam piece that seals the gap between your face and glasses. I wear contacts too and they keep the dust and wind out of the eyes. The foam piece is removable so they can look like regular sunglasses if you want. The lenses are interchangeable. I use the smoked lenses during the day and switch to clear lenses for night riding. There's also a removable strap to hold them on your head so you can turn your head while riding without having them blow off. I got mine at my local Harley dealer for about $40. They are far better than just a pair of sunglasses. It was money well spent. Enjoy the new bike and the wind in your face.
its not your place or job to install speed bumps and if they cause an accident you would be liable. teach the kids to stay off the road
