How do I disinfect my sofa?

How do I disinfect my sofa?

Answer:

rent an upholstery cleaner it will get down into the fabric better than spraying with a disinfectant The disinfectant will make the sofa wet and the upholstery cleaner will take all the water out and leave it dry. Plus you will be cleaning it not just spraying over it
I'm not sure what it is you are trying to gt rid of but if it is urine, or other unhealthy contaminents you may have to throw the poor thing out to really get away from the germs. Lysol may help a little bit but won't completely penetrate the foam and you'll be stuck with a sofa that smells like Lysol and whatever else is in there. In healthcare enviroments they use specially treated fabrics or vinyls to prevent bacteria from entering the upholstery. These fabrics are easily cleaned and are sometimes even anti-microbial. If there is a risk of this reoccurring you may want to consider a cleanable fabric with your next furniture purchase.
well you don't disinfect your sofa, you sanitise it. rent a rug doctor (a carpet cleaning machine with upholstery attachments), and buy the appropriate chemicals. you need to know what fibres your carpet is composed of.
