i want to just use one remote control, and im wondering how i can get the remote for my cable to adapt to my tv. it has a tv power button, i just dont know how to get it to work.
You program your remote to control your tv as well as the cable box. You should be able to turn both the box, tv on off, with one click of your remote that came with your cable svc. They should've also provided a booklet, with instructions to do that. If you're unable to use the instruction booklet they provided, then go online and chat with a rep from your cable company. There should be an online help section, as well as the option to chat, to answer any questions you may have. Good Luck!
