Question:

How do I get my card reader to read an 8 gig micro sd card?

I have a Digital Concepts 21 in 1 card reader. I am using XP on my laptop. Every other memory card I use I can send information back and forth with my card reader. I have been using a 256mb micro sd card and upgraded to an 8 gig micro sd card, but now my computer is saying that The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error. How do I fix this without upgrading my card reader??

Answer:

An 8 GB Micro is an SDHC card, meaning that it is high-capacity. You need a card reader that supports SDHC cards to properly use the card. Offhand, I would guess that your card reader does not support SDHC.
