i will not take a pill to suppliment ironi would like food suppliments to increase iron :)thanks
Pumpkin seeds have a good amount of iron in them. Also, Multi-Grain Cheerios, red meat, beans, dark veggies, tofu, and also.do this at your own risk, but liver has a lot of iron in it, as well. I'm not a fan of liverblech. Sardines, veal, and mackeral all have good iron, too. Take it easy when eating these, and start off small. Too much iron can cause constipation, but most of the iron rich foods can be consumed daily without fear of overdosing. Just start with a few helpings a day. So for lunch, you can do a spinach chicken salad with some beans and snack on some pumpkin seeds. Orange juice also helps absorb the iron into your system faster. Keep in mind that while it is of course recommended and healthier to get it from foods, iron is one of those that comes and goes quite quickly. You may not want to take an iron pill, but you may want to look into a multivitamin.
well, to much iron can kill you, so talk to a doctor before taking anything that will raise your iron levels, iron rich food really doesn't have enough iron in it even at its highest concentration you'd need to eat a ton of it. The only way to supplement low iron is with iron supplement pills, whats wrong with that anyways, you can buy all natural organic pills too.
