Answer:

The absolute best way is with a vacuum sealer, expensive and bulkyI don't like the deterioration of freezing provolone, but here are the guidelines: Firm cheeses, such as Parmesan, Romano, and aged provoloneGrate them and store in a resealable plastic bag.
Yes, you can freeze itSlice it and stack the slices between sheets of wax paper, and put the stack in a ziplock, squeeze the air out and seal it and toss it in the freezer I've done this many times, provolone freezes fine.
I have been told that the mold is (in most cases) the natural process of cheeseJust scrape it offI guess you need to ask a micro-biologist or bacteriologist Why not chop it up into usable chunks and just give to your neighborsProvolone and crackers make a fine TV snack.!
No, you shouldn't freeze it, the ideal temperature is 35 to 50 degrees (bottom of the veggie bin)Always rewrap cheese in fresh wrapping, preferably in waxed or parchment paper, after the cheese has been opened to avoid having the cheese dry out or pick up other flavorsRemember that natural cheese is a living organism, with enzymes and bacteria that need air and moisture to surviveThus, rewrapping the cheese in paper and then in plastic wrap to create a microenvironment for the cheese is the preferred storage treatmentHowever, you should not leave cheese in the same wrappings for extended periods of timeIf mold does appear, make a cut about a ? inch below the mold to ensure that it has been entirely removed; the remaining cheese will be fine Enjoy!
Try putting a water bowl in there, or a bigger one than you already havePut your heat lamp directly over the water bowl to help it evaporate, and actually having a heat lamp dries out the air so if you can, buying an under tank heating pad and putting it underneath where the water bowl is would be a better ideaIf your tank has a screen cover, get a damp towel and lay it on top of the screen to trap in the heat and humidity, and spray hot water into the tank a few times a dayIf you have extra money to spend go out and buy a repti-fogger or reptile water fallYou can get these at stores like Pet SmartThe repti fogger spreads a mist throughout the floor of the tank to help with humidity and the same with the water fall, the water will evaporateHope these tips help!
