Question:

How do you build a prototype of a brake system?

I am a freshman in high school and I'm taking an engineering class in which we have to have a wheel and axle used and a lever, acting as the brake has to stop the wheel and axle from moving and then start it again. I need some advice because I'm kind of lost on this particular project.

Answer:

I have the warrior one and the nike bauer one too! So personally I like the warrior one way better!
I don't really know if this is what you had in mind, but check out a baby stroller brake system or maybe a wheel chair. If the stroller would work, may you could get one from Good Will and tear it apart. Just a guess.
How about just having a wooden lever rub against the wheel? At the other extreme you could go to an auto junk yard and get a brake caliper, disc rotor, and a master cylinder with reservoir.
