The stores that sell food grade vegetable glycerin around here charge up the rear. I've been trying to google how to make FOOD GRADE vegetable glycerin that I'm not using to make soap with because every single recipe I find calls for Lye! So since I can't find it, I need to know the ingredients, tools and steps I need to make it! This is a serious question and I'd like anyone who knows how to PLEASE share with me. I repeat, I AM NOT MAKING SOAP SO DO NOT GIVE ME A RECIPE THAT CALLS FOR LYE! Strictly food grade, preferably vegetable based, not animal based. Thanks!
VRE is contact isolation. If the infection is in the feces or urine, then don't touch it and don't let your uniform touch any of it or the things in the room. Do not touch anything in the room without your gloves on. And remember, handwashing is the single most effective way of preventing infection, if you follow proper precautions your chances of getting VRE is none.
Possibly you are unaware of this, but any and every seizure is a medical emergency. The only exception to this is some one or some animal that has a properly diagnosed and treated seizure disorder, in which case the patient's doctor will specify how many minutes to wait before dialing 9-1-1. As in, if the patient starts seizing, a caregiver will time it, and if the limit is three minutes, then at three minutes and one second, the caregiver gets on the phone. Now this is human protocol, as we generally do not call for amulances for pets. But my point is, cats who have had seizures need to be evaluated by a veterinarian RIGHT AWAY. Since you do not mention what your veterinarian said about this, I am assuming you have yet to take your cats to the vet. Your first step in discovering what is going on with both these cats is to TAKE YOUR CATS TO THE VETERINARIAN.
