Is there a reason you want to use the resin flowers; such as, are they pre-made or something? You can make some beautiful jewelry using the higher end air/oven dry clays, and they come pre-colored. Painting that kind of small stuff, especially more than one color . . . well, you'll definitely earn your money. Try alcohol based inks. You can buy them in the scrapbooking section at your local craft stores, and I think they usually come in spray bottles. Of course, you'll be using a brush, but that's okay. That said, if you want to make high-quality, long lasting jewelry, you should seriously check out Kato, Fimo, and other clays intended for jewelry making and other art applications. I would not use clear nail polish as a sealer. Get a good varnish appropriate for the kind of colorant you end up using, or whatever kind of finish is recommended for your materials. Clear fingernail polish will yellow and break down over time.
