Question:

How to go about planting muskie dime seedlings and clippings?

I live in TN the Muskie Dime trees are just now loosing their grapes, we just got some off the ground, and cut a thin branch off, now I need to know what to do to get them ready to plant.

Answer:

I think you are talking about Muscadine grapes. You can root grape cuttings in vermiculite. Use a rooting hormone powder and keep the cuttings (about 6-8 long) in damp vermiculite in a cool place until they root. Plant out in soil next spring and wait about 4 years.
they are cost effective but leak like crazy. For me it was worth every extra penny just to go buy disposable ones and not deal with leaks and sooo much more extra laundry.
