Sliding screen doors don't have a top track. The top fits into a U channel. Your screen should have come with 2 small plastic pieces that are kind of a T shape. Those click into the top of the door to stop it from rattling in the top U channel. To install the screen put the top in first and set it on the bottom track. Adjust the bottom rollers up or down to level the screen to the jamb. Adjust the top rollers up until they just barely touch the top of the U channel. Roll the door back and forth to check adjustments. You might have to lower the top rollers slightly as its pretty common for patio doors to sag slightly in the middle. If it came with a rubber seal you can now install that. It should just press into the side of the door and can be trimmed to fit.
I would try and go back to where you bought it.. tell tem it was missing the top track.. see what they can suggest otherwise, you'd have to but two angle tracks and make a u channel out od them.
