Your profession doesn't limit you to any particular type of business. You can create anything that you want as long as it fits within legal guidelines set out by your country and state.
A heavy equipment operator is needed in several key businesses that I'm sure you know. Excavators, mining companies, construction, demolition, etc. A big part of creating your business is the ability to sell yourself and your services to the right companies. Think of it this way - somehow, maybe not too long ago you applied for a job doing heavy equipment operation. They hired you - why? Whatever you did to convince your employers is also the skill you can use to convince businessmen to utilize your operator services on a contract basis.
