and im a bit nervous any tips on how to calm myself down?
nerves can actually be a good thing...they help you to focus and do well....just remember that you will do fine and go over your lines a few time
breathe. thing about something else until its go time that way you dont have time to worry about it all day. preoccupy yourself. good luck
just have fun! try to take your mind off of it before the play. normally i go through my lines one last time before the play starts. just imagine yourself as the character. And one last thing, Break-a-leg!! =)
Look at it as a dress rehearsal. You know everything has to go well, but don't think about the audience. If you're worried about forgetting your lines, don't worry! As long as you have a good understanding of the scene and play in general, it's easier than you might think to cover up a mistake. Most importantly, don't hope it goes well, KNOW it's going to go well. And if something does happen, remember that it's not the end of the world. Oh, and suck a Polo mint or something before it starts, to occupy your mind.
